This hardware-based router is a high-performance version of the DI-804V router. Packet processing for IPSec security is done entirely by the hardware, giving you high-speed secure links to your remote corporate office and trusted supplier networks. Internet connection is through a DSL or cable modem. An RS-232 port is provided for ISDN TA/analog modem connection backup.

40 IPSec tunnels for data confidentiality, integrity and origin authentication to 40 remote sites. Data encapsulation, encryption and authentication options include IP ESP, DES, 3DES, MD5 and SHA-1. This enables you to carry out VPN applications, including Intranets, Extranets, and remote user access.

Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) monitors inbound packets and allows or denies access to your LAN on rules you can set. Denial of Service (Dos) prevents hacker attacks, plus log file to log up to 32 event messages showing possible attacks.

Virtual Server provides mapping to re-task services to multiple servers. You can also configure any of the built-in LAN ports to function as a DMZ port. Separate FTP, Web, and Multiplayer game servers can share the same Internet-visible IP address of the DMZ port. This allows you to set up web sites and e-commerce business and users to play Internet games while maintaining protection for the rest of your LAN behind the router.

For easy and robust connectivity among heterogeneous standards-based network devices. Computers can communicate directly with the router for automatic opening and closing of UDP/TCP ports to take full advantage of security provided without sacrificing functionality of on-line applications.
