Very easy to use.

This was simplicity in itself. Load up th software and plug in the two units. Connect one to the PC and the other to the router. It started working right away.
Another reviewer said there is no encryption. Well who else will plug one of these in your ring mains? If you have two different ring mains they will no connect across them. (as I found out). I am very satisfied with this product.

I bought a pair of these to overcome a wireless signal drop-out issue. I was slightly suspicious of the wiring in my house but there's absolutely no problem with connection. I don't need the higher speed so the lower rated units are more than adequate.

Poor service from Devolo

I had trouble using a wireless system due to thick walls in the house, so I purchased the dlan duo from Devolo. Instructions were a bit limited but not such a problem. Plugs installed, the system seemed to work ok but would not allow encryption which left the whole system open to abuse. Devolo offered some possible solutions, none of which worked, and the only option left was to return the faulty plug to DABS, which is where it is now. To be fair to DABS they've been pretty good, but the after service from DEVOLO is pretty poor, and therefore I'd recommend that you 'factor in' after-sales service before making a choice, as there are now a couple of other companies making this type of product.
