I have at last found the scanner I have been looking for. Software and general performance completely outdo that of the three HPs I have had the misfortune to use in the past.

Very easy to set up and use, the software is very effective.
Have scanned very old photos and the colour restoration is brilliant, Scanned lots of negatives of both B & W - Colour and the results have been very pleasing.
Although i can't compare it to a top range scanner in the 200 to 400 bracket as i've never seen the results from one, i'd recommend the Epson V350 to anyone wishing to scan old photos, slides or negatives.

Installed the scanner last night and immmediately started to scan photos and slides. The installation was straight forward. However I feel the operating instructions were lacking. The photo scans were very good and easy and the imagies are impressive. The scanning of the slide was a little tricky but the image result was very good it showed all the dust marks. If you are going to buy this for photo/film scanning use gloves and avoid touching any of the glass.
