This high-speed inkjet all-in-one offer demanding businesses a genuine alternative to laser that can save up to 50% on the cost of color printing. Great Printer

I bought this out of frustration having had a string of cheap printers that suck up ink and never work when I try and use them. My wife, school teacher, prints a lot and young son starting too, so I wanted a bit more of a reliable workhorse. This machine is great, works flawlessly every time, but its the network smarts I love most. Plug in a 8gb pen drive and it pops up on home network as a shared drive so anything you scan can be saved to the share. Install the software on a PC (win 7 and 8 on my LAN) and the machines appear on the printer display so you can scan right to your desktop from the printer in jpg form, or select PDF and it collated the pages into 1 file. We will now finally go paperless as the scanning chore is simple with a 30 sheet feeder right to the desktop. All for less than £180, and i believe that will pay back in ink in under 2 years. Finally a printer/scanner/copier that just works - oh and if ypu ever nee a fax machine,..,... 10/10.

My purchase was to replace an old mono Brother Laser, and I was attracted to the Epson by the low cost printing and copy/scan functions. (I already own an Epson A3 Photo printer)
As a recent convert to the iPad, I was also intrigued by Epson iPrint App - quite often wanted to print bits when sat in front of the TV and previously couldn't.
The printer is located in my study, where I have a wireless access point connected to my BT Home Hub in the house.
The setup to 'attach' the printer to my network was exactly as per the quick ref guide. Adding iPads and laptops was a doddle.
With my iPad / laptop I can print or scan from anywhere in the house/study. The response time is amazingly quick, and the print quality on cheap A4 paper is unbelievably good.
Wireless printing – especially from the iPad – is just brilliant. Saves so much time.
Great functionality and value from a robust printer that the whole family use.
