After a more expensive Gigabyte board had problems with Hard drives (using the 790X and SB750 Chipsets - which other people were also experiencing) I settled on this board as both chipsets are different and it looked like great value. Its' performance is great. I put a Phenom II X4 920 and 4G of 1066MHz Kingston RAM in it and it's been completely trouble free so far. Gigabyte make excellent stuff, and always have done - although 2-4 years ago their boards were lacking in features. No such problem now, they are back at the top of the pile as far as I'm concerned. The only criticism I have is that this board has 3 internal USB headers, 2 firewire, 1 parallel and 1 serial, but you get absolutely no connectors for these - they are 'optional extras'. So if you don't already have compatible connectors you might need to add on another £15 or so to get some if required.

Ordered this motherboard (April 09) to go with AMD Phenom II X3 720BE.
The first thing I notice is starts up takes a bit of time. Upon inspecting the BIOS and post screen. It was running with BIOS version F2 (F2 was the first version, released on Nov 08). So it wasn't supporting AMD720 but thankfully, it did went through the POST, so I don't need to swap the CPU around.
So loaded the latest version (F5 2009/03/25) onto a USB flash drive, hit "End" during POST screen, the board was ready for the new BIOS.
Like others have said, performance and stability of the board has been excellent. There's really no need for onboard graphic in my scenario, so AMD770 chipset served me at the right spot at the right price.
However, the northbridge heatsink is a bit too hot for computer enthusiastic. It hasn't yet caused any stability issues but could be an area of improvement.

This is an excellent board for the money. It's very easy to install and set up, with plenty of room for all your bits and pieces. The Bios is dead easy to work with, with a full range of overclocking options. I think the enclosed CD with Drivers and software is a little bit wanting. The energy saving program they say is included IS NOT. If you want it you will have to download it off the web! Even then you can't use it unless you want to upgrade the Bios!!! As for "optional extras" i think for what they're worth they should include them in the box.
All in all an excellent board for the 1st time installer and an excellent board for the experienced user with all the overclocking options that are availiable. It's Stable, it's Fast and Reliable.
