2nd build after 5 years

This is my 2nd build after 5 years (old AMD athlon sysytem)and I was somewhat worried due to the change in technology, I picked all componants from dabs as follows.. GA-x48-DS4,Intel 8500, 4gb Fatal1ty DDR, Saphire 4870x2, Antec 1200 case, 2 x 750gb F1 Sata drives,Vista Home Prem OEM,Light Scribe DVD Writer,3.5 Muti card reader & iiyama Pro Lite E2607WS LCD Monitor... The whole thing took 1 day to build and started on first power up..runs like a dream....Thanks dabs great service good componants

Superb reliability & performance from Gigabyte!

Well I must say my first foray into the Gigabyte motherboard has been an extremely positive one in the form of the GA X48 DS4. Setup was very easy, with a Zalman 9700 cooler being the 'chiller of choice' to keep my 8500 core duo processor nice and cool... Full 16x crossfire support means an additional Ati Radeon 4870 can be added for a little extra kick in the graphics department if required. Compared to the experience I have had with an Asus P45 ddr3 motherboard, this one is so much more stable and easy to deal with, I definitely recommend it 100%!

Well, this will be my first review on here and by the looks of things, the first review of this product!
This is part of my first system build and it all went very smoothly with no problems at all! I went for the Intel Q9450 Quad Core 2.66GHz 1333FSB 12MB L2 and a nice 4 GB of RAM.
It works very fast with Windows XP Pro and even faster running Ubuntu Linux x64.
The driver CD comes with lots of interesting utility's which I have yet explore. There are drivers for both 32 bit and 64 bit windows operating systems.
I am very pleased with the product. Fast delivery and a very good price!
