Needs firmware update (its available for free, but possible manual install needed)

If you type this model number into Google you will see plenty of negative responses going back a couple of years. The product seems to suffer from lockups / freezing after a year or so and also a very noisy fan from the outset. Both of these problems have been fixed by a firmware updates. The firmware is available from here: http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/support/downloadcenter.aspx This forum is a good guide to the issues with this model: http://www.hummy.org.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=5552&page=19 The model seems to be a decent bit of kit once the firmware is updated, i've only had it a few days so can't vouch for its longevity. The firmware is supposed to be being rolled out in auto updates, I had to update mine manually. Currently 1.00.18 is the latest version firmware for the 9300
