Good once working - A8N - SLI Deluxe issue
Reviewed by Richard Zamberlan. Review Posted 27/08/2006
I bought this particular RAM as it was one of the ones compatable with my A8N-SLI Deluxe. However when I installed it my PC kept crashing (as someone else here has mentioned). I didn't even think it could be the RAM (as it was all new system so assumed something else was the problem). However after many google searches I found other people had had the same problem. I contacted Kingston who were very helpful and directed me to a memory tester (memtest 86) which showed that the individual chips on the RAM weren't the right ones so I had to get them swopped with Kingston. They were very helpful though so I would probablly buy the same again if getting more as in case there's a problem again then at least the service was good.
Since then I've had no problems with it.
Oh, if you do have an A8N-SLI Deluxe I think you could get the CL2 one - not very clear in manual or on ASUS site - I got this CL3 as wasn't 100% - anyone know?

This memory may not fit in a Dell PC
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 16/07/2006
Despite another reviewer insinuating that someone doesn't know their own PC, I too have found that generic ram will not fit in a Dell Motherboard - not just me, but the five other staff who work with me in an IT Support department who buy nothing but Dell PC's. Don't blame the user - I buy lots of generic ram from DABS and it always fits every other motherboard. Dell seem to be in a world of there own. Buy the ram - unless its a Dell!

bought two sticks and had no problem on my new system recognising it. Just follow your motherboard instructions for which slots to put it in. Very happy with the speedy delivery and ease of use.

Good quality and value so far

It is an excellent product for a very good value so far!!! I have no idea what the other review, that left on 25/10/2004 14:09:00, is on about? The guy obviously does not know much about his own PC. To be fair, if you have any idea of how to put a ram to your motherboard ,which is a piece of cake, before you buy this product, you will not have any problems at all.
Highly recommended, cheapest I have found so far!!

Good Value

I have been running a stick of this for a while now and have just purchased another to run in dual channel. It is not high speed or low latency but it is stable, cheap and from a good manufacturer and that is what most users should be looking for.

Caused so many problems
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 29/01/2006
Mine was faulty. Caused all games to crash and the computer often restarted with warning.
I was adviced it was the power supply by many people.
I even ended up RMA ing the graphics card!
In the end replaced the memory and fixed the problem completely.
Buy Corsair Value, had a much better expierence with them!
