Perfect at first - then fails!! Beware.

Initially worked perfectly. Easy to install and backups fast.
After one year the power supply failed and the drive could not be accessed. This is a widespread fault with these drives and if this is your only backup drive then a failure could be critical.
LaCie support is attrocious. Support tickets can be raised online but remain unanswered (Mine is unanswered after 5 days). No telephone support even though it is mentioned on their site.
As an alternative have used LaCie Big Disks for years and, so far, no problems with these drives!!
