Very good value for money. Huge storage capacity, smart looks, and ease of use straight from the box makes it a winner. Very impressed with the drive and the excellent service from Dabs.

I now have 2 of these drives. I use them for my movie library (which is about 600GB). I leave them running 24/7 and when I watch movies over the WiFi network I stream the movies from these drives to my Apple TV.
This is pretty heavy usage, but they have been running like this with no problem for over 6 months. When I need more space I'll upgrade to the 2TB version. They have my recommendation.

Value for Money I would say 6 stars.
I bought it few months ago and this external hard drive is great. Very cheap when you are comparing with other brands. Nice design and very quiet. I may buy another one soon...

looks good, bit noisy. computer read it as a 10mb drive, then went into computer disk management to check what the problem was and not all the disk space had been partioned, eventually got the full 1tb (930mb)i think i should have read the instructions first as i deleted the backup software which would have configured the drive for me, anyway, works well

Definitely good value for money.. 1tb for £100
cant go wrong.. and if it looked any better id be drooling
Only reason i didn't give it 5 is because it could do with a power-down feature
to preserve the life of the hard drive, apart from that its "SPOT ON"

Nice drive, BUT LOUD.
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 29/06/2010
I've had no problems with this drive, but it is infuriatingly loud when writing to the disc & seeking.
It's loud enough for me to disconnect it when I need to concentrate.
It's loud enough for me to stop what I was working on and write this review.
To be clear, it does look nice, it does what it claims to, but it is ****LOUD****

Terrible product
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 03/08/2009
I bought this hdd at the end of June after my 2 1/2 year old WD 320GB External drive started to act up. Things were fine for approx 10 days, then all of a sudden it stopped working (Not mounting/loud beeping noise) After a quick google search I found various msg board threads confirming that this means the drive is dead and not uncommon in Lacie HDD's. Wish I'd known this before I bought it! I went through the returns procedure, posting the guff drive back on the 24th, receiving my replacement on the 28th. Six days later....the new drive has died too! Excellent customer service from Dabs, terrible product from Lacie. Steer well clear!
