I'm a complete numbskull, and a butterfingers to boot. I drop everything. I'm surprised I'm even allowed to buy laptops anymore.
Hence my decision to buy this wonderful piece of kit. Finally Lacie have built something worthy of my clumsiness.
I back-up/synchronise my entire photo collection and most of my music onto this drive and carry it with me everywhere.
A genius feature I should mention is that should you connect the drive to a non-powered USB hub which doesn't have enough power to run the drive, Lacie have included a second USB cable which you can plug into the same hub and then into the power point on the drive, thus doubling the power to the drive and saving you from having to plug it into a power outlet. Smart thinking Lacie!
Not the cheapest of mobile drives out there, but certainly the most rugged for the money!

excellent product. keep it in my backpack and carry with me to uni everyday, solid as a tank. reliable, Very lightwieght, silent when operating, and no need for a power cable!! very portable, easy to sue, plug in to any computer and your away. plus its disticintive colour means you wont confuse it with anyone elses :-)
as i have the one with only usb, transfer can be slightly slow if doing multiple large transfers, but a really very minor qualm, and you can always get teh one with firewire if your that bothered..
