solid drive!

This is the second Lacie hard drive that I own. The first one is 500GB rugged drive, and I've had no issues with it, which is why I bought another Lacie external drive. I use it for backup with my PC running Windows 7. It works flawlessly, I've not had any issues with this hard drive in more than a year and I am very happy with it.

Solid, fast and reliable. No issues as far as I'm concerned. Plan on buying more d2 2TB drives to replace some older hard drives I own.

I've been using LaCie d2 Quadra drives for years for video and photo editing and have been very pleased with the performance. The design of this drive is of very high quality. And last, but not the least, the drive offers a versatile set of connection options, which makes it ideal for both home and professional users who want to transfer large files between Mac and PC platforms.

The drive has four interfaces. USB is OK, Firewire 800 is the fastest interface though. I haven't tried eSATA yet, but it feels good to know it's there if one day I need it. LaCie d2 drives are great because they have the power management feature. They are very silent, and don't heat up much.

I use this drive as my main back up drive and to store larger media files I don't want to keep on my 500GB laptop. The transfer rates are pretty fast especially compared to some other drives I've owned. The drive is quiet, runs cool, is very well built and the design is attractive.

This HD is very well designed. Thanks to aluminum enclosure it dissipates heat without a fan.
The transfer speed with Firewire port is very good. I also like the On/off switch as well as a auto setting.

I've been using this drive for almost a year now and I'm very happy with this product. It comes with a nice choice of backup software and it's compatible with Time Machine. It has all possible interface options one may need. The transfer rate is very fast, at the same time the drive is very quiet. It comes with all cables included and a 3 year warranty. This product has exceeded my expectations. I'm impressed.
