Very portable and easy to use

Pros:
1. This drive is ideal if you need to carry large amounts of data about with you. I work in PC technical support and it has proven to be invaluable.
2. It is a great backup solution. With Microsoft Windows 7 you can schedule periodic backups to this drive.
3. Data transfer is very fast, provided you have a good PC.
4. Surprisingly resilient to knocks and bumps, even while in use (don't go mad though!).

Cons:
1. Rarely, it may "click" (occurs if it doesn't get enough power), cancelling any file transfers - this is evident on laptops or Apple computers. Use the provided 5V USB power cable.
2. The finish on it can get scratched - might be worthwhile investing in some form of case or caddy.

No hesitation in recommending this small external hard drive. Plug into the USB socket and away you go. Until recently I had a ScanDisk Firelite 40Gb drive and decided to upgrade to a larger storage capacity, I am glad I chose the Lacie. Usual speedy delivery from Dabs.com
