MC Extender - now a great buy
Reviewed by Kermy. Review Posted 23/07/2009
Finally the Media Extender hits a price that makes sense, this is a superb device and is works extreamly well.
You really need this to have a very good "N" wireless network or use Cat5. With the right network connection, this works a treat, I have two working with my Vista PC and it's flawless (one in Wireless N and one on CAT5)
Menu can be sluggish, but turning off the transition effects makes it more "snappy", Vista PC controls the Sky Box, MEdia Extenders allow the sharing of Sky around the house, with timeshifting, puase and record.
Great - Just makesure you have plenty of hard disk space, 500GB dosnt last long...

Expensive product but good features

Very pleased with the performance of the unit but the price is a bit expensive. With more 3rd party plug-ins being developed (telephone caller id, weather and ebay links etc.) for viewing on your tv the unit seems to have a good future - just need the price to drop so they can be installed at all tv locations in the house!

Good but..

This does what it says on the tin and is very small. Works like a Xbox360 extender only better. The main problem is the price. £100 would be more realistic.
