got these today nice speedy delivery from dabs once more :) i am astounded at the sound quality from these 2.1 speakers and the bass is enough to make most people pass their bowels :) dont buy any other 2.1 system apart from this! excellent price and quality definitely a must buy :)

Easily one of the best 2.1 systems out there!
Super Loud when you need it and the Bass is unbelivable!
WOrd of Warning! I bought these speakers while in student halls and within 2 months there were threts of ASBOS for the noise! You could only hear it 3 streets up:P
AMAzing Buy!! Dont waste you time and money with any other speakers out there!

Still Perfect Since the Day I first Saw them on the Internet, Years of Use and Now Sound Quality Loss, To Put them on Full though is for the More Suicidal Eared Folk out there :)
Just Look in Awwwwwwweee at them and Their Mighty Box, Which I still Have used twice for moving house, Its Big enough to put Most kids in :)

The sub is just obscene; outputs enough bass to turn my uni common room into some kind of disco, but the satellites are somewhat lacking in comparison, and you can hear when you start to drive them too hard. They do best on electronic music and film soundtracks, where there is a heavy low frequency presence, and worst on piano or other mid range heavy sound with great dynamic range, where distortion can be heard on the fortissimo midrange at high volume.
You really need to apply a small amount of EQ work to these, since they have a resonance at around 100-150HZ - dropping this frequency by 3db on windows media player will do the trick for most users.
Volume is just enough to play music over my drum kit,

If your looking for bass then these are the speakers you need!
I was blown away by the qaulity of sound from a very cheap item!
Value for money and you get more than what you pay for!

Ease of install, quality built, very good separate bass & desktop speaker control. Suprisingly good sound for the money. Sub-woofer is large and heavy, make sure your room can absorb it.Sumary - If you can't face installing a 5.1 system but want excellent game and music sounds go for the Z-2300.

Bought this to replace my previously owned Logitech 5.1 system (a 2.1 system would be easier to take to university this year you see). Basically i'm a bass junkie and so wanted a subwoofer with more 'umph'... and i can confirm the z-2300 certainly delivers. So far, i've only tested the speakers with my mac volume at 100% and the speaker volume at 50%- pure bliss! I'm listening to songs that have bass lines that i never knew existed before, because my old speaker systems were never able to bring them out with 'umph'. Ive yet to test with both mac and speaker volume controls at 100% (i need to wait for everyone to be out of the house- thats how loud it is!). One things for sure- im guna be the most hated university flat mate with these babies, no doubt!! (p.s: If you've got these speakers, or once you've received them, play this bass test mp3. Excellent value. Is an ear-opener as a replacement for cheap and nasty pc speakers and renders listening to music online an unambiguously rewarding, genuinely hifi, experience.
