It just works!!

switched on the mouse pressed the bluetooth connect button on the bottom and hey ho it worked.
Batteries last up to 2 months - pretty much constant use.
When not used for 20 mins or so does switch itself into standby but move it around and 4 secs it is back on
Oh and this is working with XP SP3 absolutely fine.
Buying one to go with a MAC in few days

Nice quality mouse

Bought this mouse to use with my Bluetooth laptop and my PS3, and I must say the performance is great/smooth, easily as good as a regular RF wireless mouse, and much better than the last Bluetooth mouse I used which suffered from jitter and poor signal.
It's not 'too' small either like most notebook mice, and is very comfortable so far.

Good but not perfect

Form factor incorrectly described as double A batteries; should be triple A. Resulted in my having to carry extra type of rechargable batteries while travelling. Literature says buttons could be reconfigured but the Go Back One Page on the Web button only exist on the left side, i.e. suitable for right thumb but not left - annoying when often I alternate to using the mouse with left hand while the right hand is writing notes. These drawbacks were offset by good compromise in size, and a switch to turn off. Such a switch is not available on my other Microsoft or Genius Bluetooth mice. The neoprene protective bag would be nice touch if it had a velcro loop to go into a Shoreline branded neoprene notebook case. Quick and easy to set up with laptop using its built-in Bluetooth running on WinXP on SP3. Yes, would recommend it onto users' shortlist.

Nice mouse... but not for mac
Reviewed by Ian. Review Posted 27/05/2009
I bought this mouse hoping for nice companion for my new macbook. It connected fine, it's easy to use and the battery life seems good.
The problem arose when I tried to sleep my mac with 'allow bluetooth devices to wake this machine' option. If you put your mac to sleep, it seems that after about 10 mins the mouse turns off, the BT connection to the macbook is lost and this wakes up the machine.
For my purposes with a dual display it is necessary for me to wake the macbook before opening the lid (to make the dock appear on the external display). This mouse is making this difficult and I find myself having to turn the mouse off before putting the macbook to sleep and vice-versa to wake it up. Not an ideal solution.
I am now looking at selling this mouse and trying to find one more compatible with the mac.

Microsoft Bluetooth notebook mouse
Reviewed by Rebecca. Review Posted 23/06/2011
Well a month ago my rating would have been 5 stars all round, but then it died right in the middle of my finals during a bank holiday weekend. I only bought it at Christmas so it's lasted 5 months. I have used it around 5 hours a day, 7 days a week, with Adobe CS5 - so fairly heavy use really I suppose. Also I would say that it is probably too small for men unless used just occasionally, and also women with large hands might find it a bit cramped. I miss it, it worked really really well for drawing.

Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5K does NOT work with WinXP SP2
Reviewed by Badger. Review Posted 24/02/2009
This mouse is advertised as working with Windows XP SP2 but in fact it does NOT. I am using SP2 and the mouse cannot be chosen from the drop down menu of available mice even in Microsoft's latest software update.(their tech people say they don't know if or when it will be supported) It means that you can use it but if frequently loses the signal, you cannot turn off or reset the extremely annoying back button which you keep catching by accident and the PC often tells you that no mouse is present when it clearly is. If you have XP don't touch this mouse. I am now having to buy another one that can work!
