Hardware Pack

Just like to say this is a really good keyboard. Nice touch to the keys, they all work, and the Intellimouse is great. I had one of the 1st made and it lasted almost 10 years. It's good to have an old "friend" back. The delivery time is spot on. I've used "next day" services before but literally it has been 1 day to deliver from "up North" to "deepest Devon". I am well impressed.

Superb Wired Keyboard & Mouse
Reviewed by RobbieS. Review Posted 30/04/2008
Like everyone I have used any number of keyboards and mice over the years but these are the best wired mouse and keyboard I have ever used. Everything feels solid and well made and the functions available (short-cut keys etc.) are excellent. Installation is a breeze and service from DABS was superb as always.

Impressed
Reviewed by Martin. Review Posted 14/11/2007
Smart choice if you don't want or need a wireless set up. Looks and feels good quality. Keys are quiet and feel natural to use. Shortcut keys are just about sufficient in number but can be re-assigned so no real problem. The mouse is very good though the scroll wheel has a quite pronounced notchy action. All in this equals the best I have used, I would be surprised if you were disappointed with it. Usual, extraordinary (is that good English?) service from Dabs by the way.

Good stuff
Reviewed by Richard. Review Posted 26/03/2007
Slightly confused at having to install drivers first (I was doing a fresh build, so I had to use it before installing drivers and it made NO difference whatsoever).
Good price for good quality stuff. Not a small keyboard. Not too many extra buttons but the ones that are supplied are fairly useful. Mouse is fine.

Great value
Reviewed by Simon. Review Posted 19/09/2006
It's been true for a while that Microsoft keyboards and mice are well-built, whilst others undercut them on price. This keyboard / mouse combination is superb value though.
Still retains strong manufacturing standards and plenty of additional functionality, e.g. zoom slider, optical mouse, volume buttons, etc, but you'll be hard-pushed to find the equivalent for less.

Keyboard characters difficult to see
Reviewed by Bernie S. Review Posted 04/11/2008
I'm not a touch-typist and thus place reliance on being able to see the characters on keys.
I have used Microsoft 'off-white' keyboards on various machines for decades, and found them excellent, never having to resort to glasses to use them. This influenced my purchase decision.
I liked the programmable keys on this new black version, and particularly the zoom function - the principal reason for 'upgrading' - to help with ageing eyes, but the white characters, smaller in size than their former counterparts, are difficult to see. General lighting and screen glare reflect off the keys, and despite best efforts to minimise the problem, I find it really hard work for my eyes, making glasses essential. I have reverted to my old keyboard, but will keep using the mouse with which I have no complaints. The label on the back of the keyboard about health risks associated with keyboard use takes no account of your eyes...why make life so difficult?

Bad drivers and notchy mouse
Reviewed by Aidan. Review Posted 25/04/2008
I have so many problem with this. Firstly my computer kept blue screening after installing the drivers. It is fine after removing them. Secondly, the mouse wheel is VERY notchy and the keyboard keys feel spongy and stiff. The key action is very bad. This is definitely the worst keyboard and mouse I've ever bought. Such a shame since the previous model is so goood.
