Friend of ours has one found it had very good quality, ended up buying two of these web cams for me and the family to keep in touch, easy to install, fantastic value for money, very clear bright picture with face tracking ability, for under £30 quid, nice one dabs.

I am a 50+ grandmother & found it so quick to install & effortless to use - marvellous for using with Skype to keep in touch with my family overseas, especially as you don't need a separate handset. What you get in the box is all you need - simplicity itself!

installed drivers, plugged in, very nice cam, had a budget labtec webcam before, that was awful, very grainy and terrible res, this one blows me away :P very nice for the price, 'fun' little toys with it, cant rly comment on the mic as i dont have anyone to talk to with it atm haha, all ill say is that the mic is only useful at a distance where the cam is useless, mic wont pick up sound from more than a foot away rly. not loud enuff anyway

A very nice piece of hardware

Very nice camera that is a good value considering it costs under 30 quid. In WinXP installation is a breeze, I've got it running in 5 min. Very nice and sharp picture, even in low light and good frame rates. Mic is fine, even though I prefer a headset with a build-in microphone. The clip doesn't mount camera very firmly but is acceptable. Overall a very good web cam given the low price.

Got given this Webcam by a friend so our daughters could use them. Took about 20 mins to set up and register with Windows Live Messenger and 15 mins to work out how to make a video call (dont have the camera running before you make a call, it starts automatically with WLM). In a smallish window the picture quality is not too bad. Will be getting all the family to get one. Its ace and a little bit freaky...... Friend paid £60 (buy one get one free) DABs is way cheaper.

Good picture quality

Excellent little webcam. Works brilliantly with MSN Live Messenger and gives v. good picture quality (and not bad sound with built-in mic).
Only problem I've encountered is with the rather flaky face-tracking portion of the supplied software, but then I don't use that.
Have recommended to others and they've bought it too when seen.

Good little webcam

My 9 year old Creaative Labs super little web/digi-camera was giving up the ghost so I got one of these, wondering if it would be any good. Easy to install despite associated large download programme, but oh my - what a pleasant little device. The adjustable focus is excellent and it snuggles into the Microsoft and Skype software beautifully. I know there are more up-market versions available, by hey, this is more than good. I do notice the price is creeping up now we are raving about it though! Give it five stars.

I had nothing but problems with this webcam. sound and video were distorted. updated drivers caused a very jerky feed. would not recommend at all if you are running windows 7. swopped out for a logitech c200. not brilliant, but at least it works.

Vista issues
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 30/10/2007
I got this webcam on the premise of the "Works with Windows Vista" labeled on the packaging, the truth however is far from it. I checked availibity of drivers from the manufacturers website to find there were 32bit and 64bit Vista drivers for download, this of course sounded hopefull. The sad reality is that everytime I even pluged this unit into any of my USB port my pc would either slow down and locked up after a few seconds or all I would get was a black square where the picture should be. MY PC is two weeks old and shown no signs of any other issues until now, once I unplugged the webcam my PC was useable again. Since this fault I have found numberous forums with people suffering the same problem. In fairness I have seen this webcam working on an XP based PC and it seams very nice which is the only reason i have given it 5 out of 5 in terms of easy of use and value for money... in short steer clear of this unit if you are run Vista.
