Cheap, good perfomance but noisy (this can be fixed with some creativity)

First of all- you need to download the latest drivers (I'm on v301.42) and version of MSI Afterburner (I'm on v2.2.4) to get this run at full speed, the software in the box limits it to 920MHz. If you've got a PSU that can dole it out, turnt he power consumption limit up to the max and it'll overclock itself more. I've now got it stable at 1200MHz with the RAM at 3115MHz :)
Secondly- if you want a silent PC don't buy this card (check youtube vids for the noise that the GTX 670 reference cooler puts out) but get one with a more advanced cooler or the EVGA 670 FTW which uses the 680 reference cooler that's much quieter. The fan itself makes a bit of a thrumming (like the PWM noise from a naff but big fan) but the thin plastic plate that it's mounted on acts as a sounding board and amplifies the thrumming noise. The noise isn't that loud but it is prominent. I've acoustically isolated the fan from plate and it's now as loud as a HDD, I even find myself checking that it's still going.
