Solution to networking your building

Superb product for just over £100. Two of these will give you a wired house in no time. Just plug and use. Especially useful for using old apple powerbooks that cant take airport and rely on ethernet connections for broadband access. Speed does slow down the further you are from the modem/router.

Netgear have really cracked it with this product. Costs about the same as other products without the 4-Port Switch which is really useful in most networks.
Certainly much better than the Devolo products - I have both in my network and I would choose the Netgear every time in future.
On the 85Mbit versions we are seeing anything from 30Mbit to 60Mbit on the closer adapters (adjacent Rooms) which is good enough to stream video. At further distances the speed starts dropping to single figures.
This is so much better than wireless networks - No Drivers, More secure and No competition with the neighbours Wireless networks !!
Can't recommend enough and just waiting try out the latest 200Mbit HD offering - Can I be one of your testers ???

Brilliant piece of kit!

This has to be the best piece of networking kit I've ever bought. It does exactly what it says on the tin - plug it the mains and into a router, walk off, plug into a socket, connect laptop and bingo! up she comes! My PC said I was even getting 100Mb locally, which is faster than the switch is rated! Dunno about other makes/models, but this one does the biz for me.
Take care though, I did have one socket that didn't work, out of about 20 tested. I suspect its the socket and not the switch........
