Bought this a month ago. Dead easy to setup and upgrade the operating system. Use it for AOL with wireless for the laptop. Rock solid with ISP and wireless. Very pleased with purchase.

Replaced a 6 year old DG834G. Seems to work well - setup was very straight forward, connection not dropped once after 3 days use, wireless range significantly improved. uPnP worked first time with my IP camera. Overall, very pleased.

Only other comment - Netgear currently seems to have a rather confusing branding/naming/product line strategy. Every product seems to have 2 different names these days. This one, for instance, is called "N300 Wireless Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router - Work and Play", but they also add the old style name, "DGN3500". The Netgear website is no real help either - lots of products with nearly identical names, and nearly identical functions. It all needs a good clear out....

Update since my review in Feb. Occasionally, the modem loses connection. That’s fine, and possible on any modem. What isn’t acceptable is that the modem won’t automatically reconnect – you have to log into the router, and push “connect” in the status menu. Seems this is a known issue (for over a year), but Netgear haven’t fixed it Won’t be buying Netgear again – not because of this problem (any product can have a s/w issue), but because Netgear don’t appear to fix well known issues in a timely fashion. I recommend you look elsewhere.
