I know that these days hard drives are getting smaller and smaller, so storage space is not really a question of whether one can accommodate one more thing near their workspace. This said my first thought was that the NETGEAR ReadyNAS Duo looked so large, not so in real life, this little thing can be put anywhere and it gives me the freedom to stockpile my favorite music, movies and games with no worries of running out of space. I am not some computer expert, just a simple home user that loves to play a lot of games like The Sims and I always find that speed gets slower and the space runs out if I only had my computer at home for hosing the games, with this device I can really enjoy, buy expansion packs and download to my hears desire.

Great NAS device for consumers

This is a great network appliance. Simply plug it in to your network, run the setup disk on a networked PC, and you're good to go. You can even plug in a USB printer to do printer sharing.

IT took me maybe 10 minutes to set the whole thing up, and it worked great! I am now sharing photos and music using my NETGEAR EVA8000 digital streamer!

Great product for streaming media to a Playstation 3. Limitations are (mostly) due to the Playstation although I would like to see more options fort sorting media (like most played).
Poor instructions for setting up on a mac however once set-up is complete integrates with OSX and Time Machine like a dream (will even support Aperture Libraries).
Would be 5 star apart from the horribly cheap fan Netgear has installed on these devices. I would happily pay an extra £5 for this product to have a good quality silent fan.
