Drives for mirrored use

Not really a review - but if you are intending to set up a mirror - it's a good idea NOT to use two identical drives - they could both be from the same batch and could both fail within hours of each other. I would suggest deliberately buying good quality drives from different manufacturers but of the same capacity.

Overall Happy, but Vista warning...

Had this product a year now, worked very reliably. Access can be a little slow, esp on lots of small files, but I didnt buy it for access speeds, I bought it for storage.

Warning however, just upgraded to Vista on one of my machines and it does not work with it, Netgear support say driver available first HALF of 2007.... so could be in for a long weight before my vista pc can access it again :o(

Unpacked sc101 from box,connected to mains and wireless network installed sotware all in a matter of 10 minutes. Had two hard drives to slot into the sc101. This was quite easy to do as cables were ready and waiting to be connected. Software made it easy to partition drive and customise for mirror imaging if required
