Wonderfully easy set-up with every option you’re likely to need at home.
You’ll need to mount it vertically to dissipate the heat generated.
Good value for money package with the bundled wirless-N usb adapter.
Have had compatability problems with my existing older 54mbps & 108mbps usb network adapters - some work (3com) some don't (LM technologys & Atheros).
Works well with netgears own wirless-N usb adapter (if running vista you will need to download driver from netgear website ony 2000/XP drivers bundled).
Big increase in speed of download approx. 80% increase from 54mbps 3COM router.
Coverage disappointing, live in large house - adjacent rooms to router 80%-100% coverage, areas upstairs and 2 - 3 rooms away drop to 30%-50% coverage.
Does anyone know of compatible economy wirless-N usb adapters that work with this router? the Netgear WN111 wireless-N adapter is currenty well overpriced.
Got this recently to go with a Netgear WN311T PCI wireless adapter for my desktop. Although this modem router is a couple of rooms away from where my PC is set up, the signal strength is at maximum and the throughput is blazing at 270Mbps! My wife's notebook also gets a good to excellent signal wherever she is in the house. This is a definite improvement over my previous modem router (Netgear DN834PN), which only sent a fair signal to the notebook in most areas of the house.
