AWESOME VALUE FOR MONEY!
Reviewed by D. Jones. Review Posted 24/11/2008
I got this off here when it was £365 a few weeks ago. I have never seen it any cheaper than that anywhere else. I know the price goes up & down on these, so keep your eye on it.
Overall this system is great, I have mine projected onto a blank wall, giving me a 112" cinema screen; for less than £400.
If you're looking for a budget projector; trust me, this is the one to get.
I recommend you don't skimp on the sound system you choose. I got a great system for less than £300; makes all the difference.
The screen is only half the deal!

I've owned this projector for a couple of months now and I love it. The image quality is amazing on my 65" screen, the colours are strong and the contrast is good. You need a dark room for the deepest blacks of course, but this is true of any projector. For the price you can't beat it.

Excellent entry projector
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 19/10/2008
I have had this projector for 2 months now in a dedicated cinema room and must say the picture quality is fantastic, its connected to my Onkyo 606 amp via HDMI with upscaling DVD player, PS3 for Bluray and PC for media files streaming. Everyone who has seen it has been blown away with the picture quality, I use the Sandman creation scene from Spiderman 3 to show just how good the HD image quality is with each grain of sand crisp and clear. Contrast levels are excellent as long as the room is fairly dark and it handles fast moving images with ease (connected to a Sky HD box watching Premiership football is the only way to watch sports!!!) I would recommend this to anyone but use a dedicated screen to get the best image quality.

Excellent Projector for the price
Reviewed by Stephen. Review Posted 16/09/2008
My cousin bought one of these and I liked it so much I decided to get one myself. It's an excellent projector that throws a clear and bright picture and isn't too noisy. The only gripe I have is that you can't zoom the lense very much to adjust the picture size, so if you want a certain size of picture, then you have to have it at a set distance from the screen. Other than that I can't fault it. I haven't actually received mine yet, it's been four weeks and still no projector and no refund. I'm told time after time they can't give a refund unless it's returned to them. So it seems I'll be stuck without one for a while untill the courier admits it's gone missing(stolen more like), thanks Dabs, I won't be using your service again as it's the worst online purchase I've ever made. I highly recommend the projector as it's a bargain at this price.

Great Projector For All Purposes
Reviewed by Daniel. Review Posted 15/09/2008
Im not one with money to waste so i wanted to get a projecter that wouldn't disappoint, and it didn't!
This projector is brilliant, whether i connect it to my ps3/tv/laptop. I have it around 4 metres from the wall and the 102" projection just fits on my wall with strong vibrant colours.
If you are on a budget or simply getting your first projector i highly recommend this one.

A full fat DLP for a lite price
Reviewed by Daniel James. Review Posted 20/08/2008
The picture quality knocks LCD into next week and even if you are a 'rainbow effect' sufferer it's worth buying. It will display 1080p but the native res is 720p, unless you are a pixel snob 720p will do just fine.Colours are vibrant, contrast is very good. I rate this model as an equal to the more expensive HD65, I have compared both and if anything I'd say the HD700x produces better black for over £150 less! Two last points, the projector has a slick remote that has cool neon blue backlit buttons and finally - I am usually very critical of blurring in fast motion scenes on ALL hi-def technology, the HD700x is one of the best for displaying fast scenes I have bought, you can actually see what is happening (unless you are watching a Jason Bourne film! sorry). Buy it!

Optoma HD700X

Quite simply put, I find this projector great. When I got this projector, it came with many cables / adaptor for the connectivity slots on back panel. This is great as the required cables / adaptors can be costly. I got a 55' projector screen with my projector (package bought). I used it once before deciding that, excellent as it was, I would project on to wall. I now have a 2.4 mtr (horizontal) home made projection screen! Currently I have a Belkin Pure AV HDMI switch in use with the projector (DABS). And have brilliant results displaying: DVD with freeview through HDMI (switch) (upscaled to 1080i by player) PC @ 1280*720 through HDMI (switch) using a seperately bought 5 mtr HDMI lead! Laptop through VGA Xbox (old version) through phono I also have other devices (pass through) connected. For gamers;WOW (50+FPS), WIC and others Look great through this ;) For the price, the quality of this machine seems fantastic to me.

Outstanding projector

I wasn't going to buy a DLP projector as I see the rainbow effect quite badly, but a review from a projector site said that their resident rainbow effect suffers didn't see much if any of the effect.
The picture quality is outstanding for the money and I can only see the rainbow effect on high contrast (ie white on black) and even then it isn't all the time.
So far I have only run it on VGA and composite but Wii games are great!
Also projecting on a home made screen (using blackout blind material) and the brightness and contrast are great!
For the money this projector is well worth it!

My first projector and it really does leaves me speechless everytime I watch a film.
Decided not to use the screen but got a 94" image on my bedroom wall instead ,really good quality and no problems viewing during the day and thats with a south facing house and very thin curtains!!!
I'm using a DVI>HDMI from my pc so image is extremely crisp.
Remote is easy to use with an onscreen menu aswell, lots of options and functions to keep even a keen fiddler happy.
Highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a projector, whether it is your first purchase like me or an HD upgrade for a lower res one.
