  The speaker units Panasonic developed for this system offer outstanding clarity, rich bass, and superior sound localization in the medium frequency range. Panasonic also developed speaker diaphragms made of eco-friendly bamboo fibers, achieving both a crisp, transparent treble sound and excellent environmental performance. A unique, improved passive radiator in the woofer also helps produce a clear, robust bass sound.

• SRS TruSurround XT - a richer, more expansive sound

  TX-32LXD700 features SRS TruSurround XT, a sound-enhancing system that expands the acoustic field, making it possible for these two speaker systems to produce a virtual 5.1-channel surround effect that wraps the listener in a pure, clear sound. Developed by SRS Labs, Inc., SRS TruSurround XT is a 3D sound reproduction technology that's based on the Head-Related Transfer Function - part of a theory that concerns the relationship between frequency change and the human ear's ability to determine the direction of a sound. This technology solves the problem of narrow "sweet spots, " a shortcoming of ordinary stereo reproduction systems. Used in the TX-32LXD700, it helps provide expansive surround sounds across a wide listening range.

• SDHC card slot

  Just insert an SD Memory Card into the card slot of your VIERA, and you're ready for awesome, large-screen viewing of digital photos that you've recorded. VIERA supports the large-capacity SDHC cards that are now available.

• VIERA link

  An HDMI cable carries not only digital video and audio signals, but control signals too. That means you can use your VIERA remote control to operate a DVD recorder, HD video camera and other equipment connected to your VIERA TV. For example, use your VIERA remote to control a timer recording operation with your DVD recorder or to start and stop playback of scenes from a video camera. With VIERA, extra ease and convenience are part of the entertainment package.

• PC input

  VIERA is equipped with a PC input terminal. Connect a PC that is also connected to the Internet, and you can surf or view content you've downloaded on VIERA's big, beautiful screen. For business users, the PC input lets you take advantage of VIERA's big screen and exceptional viewing quality in presentations and training programs.

• Motion Picture Pro

  Afterimages (hold time) in moving pictures have been reduced. This minimizes blurriness and provides smoother, sharper reproduction of fast-moving images. VIERA LCD is ideal for viewing action movies or watching cricket games, football games, and broadcasts of other sports events.

• Intelligent Scene Controller

  This system adjusts the backlight brightness and contrast according to the scene. In addition, by shifting the gradation to the brighter side in a bright scene and to the darker side in a dark scene, this system increases the image density by up to four times. This not only helps prevent blackout, it lets VIERA accurately convey even subtle differences in the blackness level.
