I've got three of these drives totalling 2TB. One 1tb and 2 500MB. I've had the 1tb disk for nearly a year now and no problems so far. All three drives working fine. I've come back to Dabs to buy another 1tb disk. For £80 I'm a happy camper.

I have now brought 3 of these drives for my ReadyNas NV+.

They all installed with out problems & have been running smoothly since, they also run cooler then the original drives, the warmest is currently 24 degrees & while working.

Got one of these for my server. Runs quieter, cooler and with less power than my 500Gb WD drives, which were excellent themselves and my previous favorites. Great drive - will buy some more, although other buyers' reports of failures are a little worrying!

Bought one for my Netgear NAS. It runs at least 10 degrees cooler than the three other Seagates. Didn't come with screws though.
Thinking of buying another 3 to go in the NAS. To those that had drives fail, sorry to hear that. So far mine has run a couple of hundred hours and no problems as yet.

The 32Mb phenomenon is a known bug with the Gigabyte motherboards and 1 TB disk drives (any). Before you install any 1TB drive onto a Gigabyte motherboard update your BIOS to the latest version. Once the drive changes to 32MB you will need a tool to reset it back to its proper size, so update your BIOS before you attach these drives.

3 Platter Magic at its best

Bought 2 more drives. The last two still works like a charm. As expected its super silent, low heat and good read/write speed (due to high density/platter ratio). The most reliable 1 TB drive in the market due to lowest number of drive platters (only 3 platters compared to 4 and 5 in others so less moving parts). Worth each penny spend. Even the price/storage is the lowest in the market. What more could you ask for?
