I bought this and another brand as my first order with Dabs and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I bought this to back up pics, music etc from my laptop and its very quick ! The first time I used USB 3 port and after doing some 'real' speed tests with CRYSTAL DISK MARK, I got the following figures with USB 3 : 110.6 read and 110.9 write and in USB 2 it was 60.94 and 31.96. Fast, quiet and well built. Fully recommend

Bought this as my previous external hard drive recently had a power failure so I wanted a drive that didn't require a separate power source.
This drive worked straight out of the box with no power issues and actually backed up about 200gb of stuff on my work laptop in a couple of hours using USB2.0, compared to my previous drive that is very quick. It is also quite small and will not take up much room on my desk at work, I am so impressed by the drive that I am going to buy a second one to use with my Macbook pro.
