The Spinpoint F3 operates at 7200RPM with up to 1 Terabyte (TB) data storage capacity by using two 500 Gigabyte (GB) per platter disks. As well as meeting data center requirements for addition storage to meet rising demand and increasing performance needs, the drives also deliver high-performance with lower power for desktop computers and servers.
The Spinpoint F3 utilizes advanced 500GB per platter technology, so that two-platter 1TB capacity is achieved. Increased areal density per platter provides up to a 30 percent higher performance than a three-platter 1TB in the same 3.5" form factor. A reduction in mechanical parts also contributes to enhanced reliability in terms of anti-shock and data failure. Samsung's hard drive utilizes its low noise operation technology SilentSeek and NoiseGuard to achieve a quiet operation system. In addition, the Spinpoint F3 is compliant with the restriction of hazardous substances directive.

Dabs service = 5 stars Price = 5 Stars Does as it should, quietly. So 5 stars. For now? ... I'm about dubious about the longevity of this actual drive as the bag it came in was not factory sealed. Is this right? Did I get a 2nd hand refurb?? Time will tell. Date of manuf 2011.03 FW: 1AJ10001

arrived in couple of days, so easy to install took 5 mins to swap over!!!!
didnt come with a sata cable so you will need to make sure you have one spare. runs so quiet much more quiet than my seagate barracuda 750gb ever did even under full load can hardly hear a whisper :)
great hard drive/ great price/ great sound and seems to be speedy so happy days

This little beauty works out to 3p per GB. It's, at the time of writing, the best value hard drive on dabs in terms of cost to capacity. It's quiet, was easy to install and even came with screws.

this is a very good hard drive for the price no problems with it so far and would recomend it for anyones first build or later builds and replacement hard drive.

Just installed this into my MAC replacing the 250GB drive that it came with. The drive is superb, it's quick, quiet and copying and moving files is a breeze. Thoroughly recommend this drive.
