Good businesslike monitor

Good points:
This is the version with the good stand (height adjust & pivot). Solid businesslike design.
Nice bright, sharp picture (no ghosting or blurring on VGA even at 1920x1200; and of course perfect on DVI).
1920x1200 resolution: more spacious for computer work than the 16:9 screens which are now common.
Power-saving standby.
Not so good:
It's a "TN". Viewing angles are fairly good, but contrast does vary a bit as you move your head.
Funny little squawk noise when changing input or resolution.
"Touch sensitive controls" take a bit of getting used to.
There's no audio and it can't handle SD-resolution signals. So wouldn't be suitable as a TV replacement.

Exceptional Monitor

Well after converting from a 22" T220 Rose Red with 1050 Res, this is superior to it. The 1200 res is superb for gaming. I'm still playing doom 3 (Awaiting doom4) and the difference is amazing. The most noticable is the veiwing angle, its so much wider and the quality is picture perfect! No dead pixels either! A recommended buy for all applications.

Hi i just bought this monitor and im really happy i did made good choice.
Monitor is 16:10 not 16:9 so it looks like a little bit bigger ,better for internet browsing etc
Really good piece of plastic ;)

Great 24" display at a great price

Really easy setup. Take it out of the box, plug it in and off you go. No assembly required as it comes assembled in a nice big friendly box.
In use, it is wonderful. The pixels, at 0.27mm are the finest I've had, so the resolution is excellent.
I have one faulty pixel. It shows only blue, but it is right at the top of the display, where the blue border of my windows go, so I can't see it. How lucky is that!

I upgraded from Samsung 913n's which are regular 19" 3:4 panels to a pair of 2443BW's to run in a dual display situation. WOW the desktop is fab and for applications that can use dual displays its fantastic. Photoshop cries out for dual displays and its great haing the main Photoshop window on one display and Bridge open on the other.
These are of the cheaper TN type display and the viewing angles arent great but angled in a little its fine and at the end of the day you will need to pay a LOT LOT more for the better displays, like £600 - £700 each, pockets not quite that deep enough for that...
For photo editing these displays also benefit from colour calibration, I use a Huey Pro with upgraded software that calibrated both displays.
Quite happy with these pannels, the on/off button takes a little getting used to but does work just fine.
Thinking about it all my displays have been Samsung's - quite happy to buy again.
