Excellent 5/5

So far I can't fault the drive, the price or the service from Dabs. Installation into my MSS was a doddle and I'm now moving files across to it :-) The price is the cheapest compared any other site I've visited. I ordered one of these (standard shipping) and it arrived first thing the next morning.

I purchased this a few weeks back, but only got to install it a 3 days ago.
Installation is simple.
When installed it was recognized by my bios as a 32MB disk.
It took me some time to fix this. If you have this problem download the stand alone diagnostic tools from Seagate. Then set the drive size to MAX...one of the drop down option. You must now power of the drive/computer. I would then suggest running a disk clear on a few 1000 sectors just to make sure.
Then reboot your box and it will be seen as a 1TB drive.

OK but the price war is hurting quality

I have a couple of these drives... I also have many other makes of HD including previous generation Seagate drives...
One of these 7200.11 1TB was my first (non-Maxtor - lol @ Maxtor) HD to fail with a really bad head crash ("infant mortality")... The drive failed a week after installing it and was barely used in that time.
Obviously the move in the primary manufacturing location by Seagate to China, etc. to reduce overheads is killing QC.
