The first thing that strikes you on opening the package is just how cheap & flimsy it is. The base is entirely plastic, & feels like something Clive Sinclair may have produced.
On the positive side, it does actually work ok, providing you don't move it while connected in eSata mode. The eSata cable itself is pretty solid, but does not fit firmly into the socket on the unit, so it's very easy to break the connection.
I'm not in a position to compare it with other products (value-for-money wise), but would have preferred something a little more robust for the price.
