Description
LightScribe technology is an integrated system that combines the DVD drive of your LightScribe-enabled computer with specially coated discs. These discs can then have laser-etched labels burned directly onto the disc surface by the same laser that burns the content of the discs. This is all possible with enhanced disc-burning software.

Takes a long time but is good
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 17/07/2008
Each disc (in high quality mode) takes about 20 mins, and the results are even better if you burn them twice (40 mins). For very simple labels, burn time is around 5 mins*.
The results look really good (whereas labels can peel off, unbalance a disc and possibly damage the data layer). Lightscribe is not colour but it is a good, permanent way to label discs. I'd recommend lightscribe for archiving or special projects.
*I used Nero 7 and an Optiarc drive with these discs
