Great monitor for a good price
Reviewed by Natthapong Sansombat. Review Posted 23/11/2010
Included in the box are:
-VX2260 Monitor
-Driver CD
-VGA Cable
-DVI Cable (Single Link)
-Euro Plug
-UK Plug
This monitor works beautifully after a bit of tweaking. There is back-light bleeding on top and lower part of the screen but that's no problem when you're gaming on it.
Also those who finds the speaker tinny, just try installing SRS WOW software included on the CD; that'll make it sounds a bit better (not by a lot but definitely better).

I wanted a new monitor for a while and while i was looking at ips monitors ect i just did not want to spend that much money on a monitor at the moment. Saw this and it is quite easy to use the OSD, has 3 inputs as i have dvi to my pc but wanted hdmi for other devices (xbox and PS3 ect) and offers a full 1080p res. For this price it is fantastic!! Screen came with no dead pixels, colours look pretty good and great response time, had no ghosting in game. I now have some pc 1080p gaming on the go, looks great! the only downside I can see is there is some slight baclight bleed from the top and bottom but only minimal so not really an issue when playing a game as you dont really notice it then. Overall, great connectivity, great response time, good picture quality, good build quality. Mainly GREAT price, for the money well worth it!!!

Viewsonic for Xbox.
Reviewed by Circos. Review Posted 24/12/2009
First of all, props to Dabs.com for the quick delivery and just in time for Christmas. Despite not adding a specified delivery date it arrived within 2 days, free of charge. I have bought a Viewsonic before so i knew it would be a wise investment. Viewsonic is the ideal monitor/TV for any dedicated gamer, the HD spec definatly lives up to the expectation with impecable graphics and response time. The 3 inches difference between my Viewsonics was actually a huge difference, to remove the 'black letter box' effects on the top and bottom of the screen. Simply go to manual settings and change to 'HD TV' then change the Xbox resolution to 1920, by doing so you can enjoy full 1080p as stated. Although it is a fairly expensive monitor, Viewsonic although underrated always performs well and I suggest you invest in one.

Recommended 22" display- good all round performance
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 31/10/2009
A reasonable compromise between performance and price. The1920 by 1080 resolution is excellent; for digital photography the colour rendition is good; mechanically the unit is reasonably robust; the built in speakers are adequate for most activities; the unit is delivered with all the required cables and UK/European power connections is well packaged for delivery; the built-in menu system is usable given once the unit is configured its not required thereafter; the overall performance at 2ms seems good for the flight simulators I’ve tried; the only slight negative is the glossy black finish which I think cheapens the look of the device over a matt black finish. My first unit had a vertical line of faulty pixels, however Dabs swapped this in a rapid 3 days door-to-door period. One point of caution though, after using the 22" screen for a couple of weeks having transitioned from an elderly 17" display, I'm now wondering if a 24" would have been a better decision. Recommended.

ViewSonic with Xbox Elite and PS3
Reviewed by Paul. Review Posted 27/02/2009
I bought this as a separate 'mobile' monitor for use with the Xbox 360 elite and a PS3. With its HDMI input its plug and play. Colour, definition and response on all the popular games are excellent. Its built in speakers are OK - as to be expected but its easy to hook up others throught the Xbox or PS3 or via the output jack included with the monitor.

Simply Superb!
Reviewed by Kevin K. Review Posted 14/01/2009
I've was on the search for a decent sized montior to connect my laptop up to. Hi-res was an issue for me.
For being less then 170 I thought this monitor was a barigain. The colours are great and the picture is crisp (although you gotta play around with the controls and adjust them).
I managed to hook up the xbox 360 to the monitor using the VGA cable, and yes the standard Xbox VGA cable will output the full 1080p on this monitor. It looks absoultly amazing. (Again you need to change the speed to 2ms)
So lets recap, the monitor is cheaper then most. Boasts full HD, can play xbox connect up to PC and you can also connect your ps3 via HDMI.
Its a great overall monitor and with the added extra of speakers (i personally use my own set of speakers via the audio out at the back) this monitor is a bit of a gemstone.
So...the last question remains...Why aint you buying one yet?!

The Consolidation Monitor!
Reviewed by Mikeh. Review Posted 19/11/2008
I bought this monitor when 1st released, as i was blown away by its connectivity, HDMI, DVI and DSUB. It has replaced my TV (x360) and my 2nd monitor all in one svelte package!
The good:
Screen; lovely, full 1080p, bright and crisp. xbox360 looks awesome thru it and im sure an PS3 would too!
Inputs; As above all the inputs that you need
Looks; Thin bezel, very minimalist, I love it!
VESA; Uses 100mm VESA standard for wall mountage
The bad:
Sound; It does have built in speakers but they are pretty useless tbh, there is an “audio out” jack on the back so its easy to use another set of speakers instead
Input Select; Input selection is done thru the monitors menu system, instead of like the LG monitors where theres one button and it cycles them, much better idea
Remember it’s a monitor as it has no TV receiving capabilities at all (tho with HDMI it could be hooked up to Sky HD)
No scarts or Composites either, so don’t think it’s a TV replacement!!

Great screen, poor speakers
Reviewed by Neil. Review Posted 09/06/2010
The quality of the image is great, although I had to update my NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE drivers for XP before it would operate at full resolution. (Hardly ViewSonic's fault, that!)
The speakers are rubbish tho. I was expecting them to be a little "cheap" as my previous ViewSonic had similar. Those were adequate/usable but on the model they are exteremly tinny and I'll have to use other speakers it seems.

Buy the Iiyama instead
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 17/07/2010
When our old 17" monitor died recently, we were looking to replace it with a 22" WS monitor. I don't like separate speakers on the desk so we were looking for built-in speakers, which narrowed the race between this and the Iiyama E2208HDS. The Mrs narrowly decided on the VS. It has been remarked elsewhere how terrible the speakers in this monitor are. I want to reinforce this criticism: any speaking doll in a toy store features better acoustics. Worse, the ear-phone plug is virtually inaccessible so that my son cannot quickly plug in earphones when he wants to go on YouTube. Picture's fine but controls are sluggish. Also, who wants a super-bright LED glaring in their face all the time? I'd rather have a menu button there. Ergonomics, in other words, leave lots to be desired. Also not that whilst this monitor has the same number of vertical px has the old 17", the display height is lower so all characters are smaller. Better to go for 24"...
