I use 8 of them in a raid tower, no installation problems at all, they are ever so quiet and don't get hot like my previous ones. The speed is breath taking, everything loads substantially faster, even vista takes noticeably less time to boot now. This is the drive of the century.

If you are worried about noise and heat, then don't be. This drive is jsut as quiet and runs cooler than my old, standard WD drive. The old drive is a standard £70 WD, 20 months old. The Raptor is just a little over twice as fast in every respect, and made a truly significant difference to the PC. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth every penny!
