I bought this drive despite seeing the poor first review. I had no trouble setting this up at all. I am using this drive as my data drive, mainly for high spec'ed games, etc. It performs very well, even though my pc is running on SATA 150 spec.
I recommend it.

Sadly disapointed with performance

Bought this drive to upsisze the drive in my media centre. After installing the media centre is now very sluggish. Although still working and recording commands are slow to be acted upon and there is a tendancy for commands given in quick succession now to cause lockups.
Compared to the Samsung Spin Point which it replaced it is also noisy.
I fail to see why such performance can be recomended to gamers when it underperforms even in a less demanding role.
