Great Drive
Reviewed by Peter. Review Posted 22/10/2009
Got this for my aging Dell Dimension 5150c and it works a treat. Its quieter, faster and more responsive than my old drive and worth the price. WD drives seldom fail compared to the competition and this one has been working happily for a few months. No data cable supplied so make sure you buy one if you're using it as a second HHD.

Excellent Hard Drive
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 16/02/2009
After many weeks of research, I finally chose this hard drive to replace a 250gb hard drive. Setting up is easy, it requires no jumper settings, unless you want the power management or spread spectrum activated. Windows 7 beta gave a score of 5.9, compared to 5.0 for my previous drive. There are many reviews of this drive and all say the same, it is a very fast, impressive drive from Western Digital. It is very quiet for most of the time, but when you require more from the hard drive it can be heard, probably not as quiet as Samsung drives, but samsung drives seem to have issues with lots of drives failing.
Overall I am very impressed, it is mega fast, due to the huge 320gb platters, it is quiet enough for me, and it is faster and more reliable than others from samsung/maxtor/seagate, but this drive costs a bit more for some reason than the others.

Great Drive - Incompatible with NAS-4220-b
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 24/06/2009
Im sure this is a great drive. However, if you own the Icy Box 4220 steer well clear. It is incompatible with this device. THe drive worked perfectly in two different PC's yet failed to be detected by the NAS. Without doubt a failing on the NAS's side.

Drive failed on day 1
Reviewed by Chris. Review Posted 09/02/2010
Seeing all the good reviews I chose this drive to replace a smaller old disk that I had. Unfortunately the drive failed straight out of the box and is awaiting pickup for refund. Maybe I was just unlucky but thought my experience may be useful to those thinking of choosing this drive.
