Does what it says on the box

Very quick to set up. I was expecting to have to jump through loads of hoops to get the itunes server up and running - I only had to click one check box in the clear config pages.
The only thing I have noticed is that the itunes server seems to reduce the sound quality. I am fussy about sound and noticed it, but the quality is not so low as to be unusable.

I will keep this short and sweet, if your looking for a NAS and have the money to spare (bought mine for less than £120) then this is a must have! Literally took it out of the box, hooked it all up and within minutes I was away uploading music and video onto it!! I am sitting here now listening to music playing from it and streaming a film to my tv with no stutter or delay.
If you ever had a doubt, dont just buy it!!

Thought i had better leave a review of this device as when i purchased it there were none.
I was told about NAS drives by a friend and as i needed more storage space i thought 130 for a 2tb drive and the NAS included was a good price.
I'm not the best at understanding all thing techy, but i setup up the basic functions on the drive very easily. I must say though the transfer rate is extremely slow and it will literally take me days to transfer everything onto it but, having said that, i am very pleased with it so far. It was picked up by my XP laptop no problem and also by my windows 7 netbook straight away, it also shows up on our PS3 as a network in the video/music/photo sections.
Those are just the very basic functions, there is so much more this can do, but the manual will take some trawling through before i can totally get everything going.
As it is now though, i am quite impressed with it, just the speed lets it down.

I bought the Zyxel because the enclosure was full of features that most other nas drives didnt have, or at least combined together. Suffice to say the NAS enclosure itself is pretty good, it has a nice admin interface and im sure the TV style interface was also good. However after owning mine for less than 24 hours the Western Digital drive inside failed. This is the second time a WD drive has failed on me. Last time it was in my brand new acer laptop and it took 8 weeks to be replaced and returned. Lets hope dabs customer service is better than that (although the small print says otherwise). I'm going to stick my neck out and just replace the NAS because, providing I get a more reliable hard drive this time around, the deal is really good and the NAS as a whole has loads of potential. Zyxel customer services are really friendly too.
