Moreover, with ZyXEL's exclusive Wireless g+ SuperSpeed technology, the P-661HW-D1 offers wireless transmission rates of up to 125 Mbps to easily extend a wired network to provide access mobility and flexibility.

The ICSA-certified ZyNOS operating system ensures state-of-the-art firewall performance and robust security in the P-661HW-D Series. With the Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) feature to prevent Denial of Service (Dos) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, the P-661HW-D Series is the first line of defense against hackers, network intruders, and other harmful threats. Furthermore, its VPN feature encrypts data sent over the Internet to ensure secure communication between two sites without the need of a private leased line. Thus the P-661HW-D Series gives you secure global interconnectivity at a low cost.

Through its interactive multimedia interface, ZyXEL Multimedia Auto Provisioner Express (MAP Express) offers comprehensive instructions for even non-technical users to follow step by step to easily install and configure the device with simple mouse clicks. With the interactive Installation Tutorial, users can change the speed of the presentation using the control buttons on the navigation tool bar. In addition, the user-friendly Configuration Genie allows users to easily monitor the auto-configuration status and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation without hassle.

The embedded TMSS (Trend Micro Home Network Security Service) feature not only helps to identify vulnerabilities and security holes on computers, but also protects both the network and the computers on the LAN from virus and hacker attacks. TMSS provides web page redirection, virus protection and parental control and is easy to configure via the TMSS Dashboard.

A great router, not had any problems with it at all really. Web-based configuration is well designed, well documented (with the on-CD manual) and pretty powerful in what you can do. Great levels of control over bandwidth out of the router and network traffic, and also supports VPN tunnels and so on.
Wireless seems to work fine with a Centrino Laptop on 802.11g, very little in the way of problems with lack of signal, and in any case the antenna is removable.
Pretty neat little unit, and has been left on for weeks at a time with no problems. Copes well with torrents too, as some routers dont.
