Description
ZyXEL G-4100 v2 is an all-in-one hotspot gateway that provides secure free or charged Internet access according to business policies. It provides authentication and accounting function for both wireless and wired clients, and supports up to 100 concurrent users. The G-4100 v2 work with SP-200E statement printer to generate and print tickets with account, password, and pre-configured time for Internet access hours automatically through a few button clicks on SP-200E. All functions required for hotspot services are selfcontained in the G-4100 v2.
With an easy-configuration authentication server embedded in the G-4100 v2, no additional hardware or software are required for hotspot operators such as coffee shops, book stores, hotels or resorts to offer Internet services. The G-4100 v2 also supports RADIUS server for large-scale hotspot service deployments in chain stores or airport terminals to provide roaming service from one spot to another through centralized authentication and accounting features.
To provide the best hotspot user experience, the G-4100 v2 features rich networking functions such as IP PnP, DHCP server, NAT, MAC address and IP address filtering. The IP PnP technology enables the ultimate "zero configuration" user experience by taking care of the IP networking transparently, which dramatically improves user satisfaction and reduces technical support needs. User no longer needs to change the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, Web proxy and even SMTP server settings. Moreover, V-LAN security for wired and wireless client, NAT, Layer 2 isolation, as well as MAC and IP address filtering technologies also work behind the scene to ensure protected user privacy, keeping sensitive personal data from being exposed to the public.
With powerful marketing features built into the G-4100 v2, operators can customize the login page, redirect user to advertisement links, or provide limited Internet access to the designated home page. Additionally, powerful management features such as SSL login page, secure remote function, LAN and WLAN device management are all specifically designed for hotspot offerings. For easy deployment, the G-4100 v2 support PoE and the PoE-capable SP-200E statement printer, so the hotspot solution can be freely placed regardless of the power outlet location. The G-4100 v2 is not only a gateway tailor-made for hotspot deployments, but also customizable to fit business and service needs.
