Nice looking & functional case

After I installed the motherboard HDD; DVDRW; PCI cards and cables switched on and was impressed it looks great and does what I need. Only criticism is lack of basic instructions to cover the installation process.

Great for small builds
Reviewed by Mark. Review Posted 24/08/2009

I brought this case sadly not from Dabs and I paid £46 for it including delivery so I was a bit fed up seeing it at this price. I am currently in the process of building a Intel i7 920 super computer and I shall be using this case. Obviously straight away for a top end PC you will need to replace the power supply, even my sempron 2800 is on a 500 watt power supply and that is quite a few years old now. As said before you have one case fan with 3 possible extra fans to be added. The blue neon lights is the main reason why I wanted this for, as my old case is just a dull and boring cream colour like they used to be. I was looking to get an Antec 900 but have decided to try and see how good this is first of all with my build. I know that the Intel Q9950 has been built using this case, but so far havent seen an i7 built with it.

Functional and good value with daft fun bits too.
Reviewed by Lyn. Review Posted 16/05/2009

The LED lights down the front are two bubble filled plastic tubes with LEDs at the bottom, the fan is a 8cm blue LED fan with a grill. There's space for a 12cm fan at the back, and space for two more 8cm fans next to each other behind the face plate (to cool HDDs?). The fan provided is powered by the PSU directly (not the mobo). This fan is fairly weak (but quiet) - same strength as my silent Akasa and significantly weaker than my rainbow LED Akasa. Both sides of the case are removable. The PSU has 1 SATA and a few ATA leads, just enough for a couple of optical drives plus fan + daft LEDs. There is no manual. Mine came with 1 bevelled screw for the security loop, 8 small screws, 8 bronze spacers, 3 screws with ridged skirts and ~15 plain skirted screws. Oddly the 8 small screws don't screw into the bronze spacers unless you wish to render the spacers into mush. The plain skirted ones fit perfectly and secure the motherboard well. Reasonably sturdy without being too heavy.

Cool
Reviewed by Jonathan Lee. Review Posted 10/12/2008

A good case especially for the price PSU is good quality it has only one SATA but this is fine-nearly all mobo's come with a Molex adapter. Quality is quite poor-the front on mine was rather flappy but this can easily be fixed by screwing it on. Only comes with the LED side fan.

Absolutely awesome case! It all fits together nicely, and keeps my system running coller and quieter than my previous case. Only problem i had is when it cut my thumb while i was pushing out a front cover. Now healed and im very happy with the case =] Thank you dabs for a speedy delivery :D

Good choice for a budget system
Reviewed by Brad. Review Posted 12/08/2008

First off, this is a nice looking case for the money. The blue lights running down the front are pointless but great. At leaset they have a seperate on / off switch.

Inside, it's plenty big enough to take a couple each of HDDs and optical drives, which is why the one SATA connector from the PSU can be a problem.

Also the materail used for the rear of the case is flimsy, even for a budget case, and very sharp. I cut my finger when opening up one of the PCI slots.

Overall though, if you want a good value case with a reasonable PSU, this is a pretty good choice.

Dabs Galaxy
Reviewed by Kash. Review Posted 27/01/2008

for the price it is reasonable. I agree with the statement about the power supply provided being inadequate. Also doesnt provide great air flow. slots for mounting faceplates, and installing cards is not sturdy and easily damaged, comes with 2 usb ports at the front via a bottom panel which is handy. Yet overall I wouldnt buy it if I had a litlle more to spend on a case

Great Case
Reviewed by Jax. Review Posted 05/06/2010

Bought this case for my first self build, Looks great and although it doesn't have any instructions on how to install the motherboard etc its pretty straight forward. A little flimsy at the back (I had trouble securing the graphics card to the case and had to force the case into position) all in all a good case overall for the price. Would have like more spacers for the mobo, mine has 9 holes for spacers, still a minor gripe for the overall quality.

DABS VALUE CASE
Reviewed by darren. Review Posted 07/11/2008

This case looks very good with the blue lighting. Good power supply of 450W. Easy to use. I can see why people have cut themselves on the flimsy back but I never did. I did find it difficult to scre the Motherboard down and in the end I could only get 3 screws in. The fan seems a little loud but a better one can be purchased. But on the whole a good budget case. Pluse delivery less than 24 hrs. Excellent service
