Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Hi-Speed USB Web Camera

This is the 1st web cam I have bought. I have just used the basic features with Skype and it works well. The sound and picture quality are good.

I installed on Vista home premium and afterwards had several blue screens (on a normally reliable machine).

Windows "Problems and Solutions" advices you to run in XP compatiblity mode so we will see if this fixes the problem.

I would have expected Logitech to done this automatically.

This camera is a gem! I bought it to replace an older (four years)and cheaper Logitech webcam (which still works very well), because I wanted sharper images and sound for video chatting to friends in Nepal. I have not been disappointed. When used with Yahoo Messenger, it was as if I were in the same room as my friends. With Skype, I did not have a good experience, as sound often failed, a fault I have found with Skype no matter what hardware I tried. It follows my face allowing me to relax more during chatting, and also gives a wider angle when desired. I have taken some really good still shots with the camera, and I highly recommend it. I did quite a lot of searching before purchasing, and I found that Dabs priced this camera cheaper than anyone else, by a considerable amount for some vendors. Delivery was very fast and communication excellent.

I bought two webcams as I moving abroad I wanted to keep in touch with my Family. The install procedure was very simple. Tested the webcams using Skype video chat and the quality was amazing and very easy to use. There is also a 8mp camera for still pictures and the microphone is excellent with noise filtering. I recommend this webcam to anyone who wants to use it for video messaging. DABS also delivered the item next day.
